Dry Noodles with Black Bean Sauce

Noodle Ingredients

  • single person serving of dried Chinese noodles
  • bok choy
  • crab sticks, cut into one inch pieces
  • Chinese fish cakes
  • frozen dumplings
  • fried shallots (to garnish)

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Black Bean Sauce
  • 1 tsp XO Sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes with oil


  • Boil noodles, fishcake, crab sticks and frozen dumplings until cooked. Add bak choy at the tail end of cooking so that bak choy does not overcook
  • Meanwhile, assemble sauce ingredients in a large noodle bowl
  • Fish out cooked noodles, crab sticks, frozen dumplings and bok choy, place in large noodle bowl. Toss with sauce. Garnish with fried shallots(optional) and serve.
