7 Cocktails to spice up your Year-End Gatherings

Are we really entering the last of December?! How time flies! Also, a sobering reminder that this year’s a special one as we mark the end of a decade! That sure deserves a toast in our book. So here are 7 festive cocktails (or mocktails if you drop the alcohol) to spice up the year-end festivities and ring in the new decade!

1. Christmas Gin & Tonic

Difficulty Effort Level (1-10): 0

This one’s a perennial favourite of ours to serve at Christmas gatherings. It’s so easy and the candy cane and peppermint just brings such festive cheer!

2. Blackberry Thyme Sparkler

Nothing amps up a party more than some champagne! This one’s a perfect one for a New Year’s party we think. Perfect for a toast to ring in the New Year.

3. Roasted Pear Sparkling Cocktail

Difficulty Effort Level (1-10): 4

As cocktails go, this one takes a little more effort, but the combination of roasted pear puree mixed with balsamic vinegar, cinnamon, nutmeg and some sparkling juice i definitely worth the effort! Plus anyone would be impressed that you took effort to roast and puree the pears!

4. Mulled Wine

Difficulty Effort Level (1-10): 3

Mulled wine is a staple served at Christmas Markets and the perfect thing to sip on in freezing cold weather, but in the Singapore heat… usually not as favoured.

This year however, it’s been unseasonably cold and rainy weather here in Singapore. For anyone living out of the tropics, we mean a low of 23 degrees celsius.. don’t laugh! that’s cold by our standards of 30 degree celsius weather!

The combination of constant rain and low temperatures makes it perfect snuggle weather so we thought it appropriate to include a mulled wine in our list! Warm mugs of mulled spice wine are the perfect companion for the cool weather.

5. Cinnamon White Russian

A classic cocktail tweaked for the festive season by adding some cinnamon! This is a rich coffee flavoured cocktail that we thought would add a perfect luxurious and warm touch to the party.
